Mc Duck Tales
Life is like a hurricane, is it not? This piece is a tribute to Uncle Scrooge and the gang, a majority of whom were created by Carl Barks. My goal was to turn back the clock a bit on the character design and give them more of an “Around the World in 80 Days” feel, in this composition which was inspired by one of my favorite J.C. Leyendecker pieces.

This is best Ducktales tribute I’ve ever seen! In a perfect world, this would become the attraction poster to the greatest ride Disney Imagineering ever created in place of Avatarland.

There’s a neat bit of subtle storytelling in this quick shot. Here we see servants, guards and diplomats all together, at ease as friends. The experience of helping one another survive the storm has—at least temporarily—erased any social class barriers.
